Good weed, family values, and a love for animals. That's what BO Gardens is all about!
Based in Bow, Washington, BO Gardens is a family-owned cannabis farm with a passion for quality flower and supporting animal rescues. Founded by Cortney Ng, this newer Washington cannabis brand has built its identity around two things she cares deeply about: cannabis and animals.
And that's exactly what makes BO Gardens a brand we're excited to highlight at Bored n Buzzed!
Why Do We Love BO Gardens?#
Well, for starters, they grow some really good weed!
BO Gardens specializes in premium indoor-grown flower, with a focus on quality, consistency, and bringing out the best in every strain. Their plants are grown using soil-based cultivation methods and a hands-on approach to growing. They even weigh their plants to determine how much water each one needs. After harvest, the whole plant is hung to dry for a super slow drying process locking in all the terpenes and every bud is hand-trimmed every time.
It's those little details that make a difference. From carefully managing their grow environment to taking their time after harvest, BO Gardens puts a lot of attention into the final product. Between their growing practices and commitment to quality, it's clear BO Gardens takes growing good cannabis seriously.
A Little Something for the Dog Lovers#
One of the coolest things about BO Gardens is how they incorporate their love for animals into their brand. Even the name BO Gardens comes from Cortney's original dogs, Brooklyn and Oliver, a Doberman and a dachshund! And that love for dogs doesn't stop with the name.
Their cannabis strains feature dog-inspired names and colorful artwork based on different breeds. Some examples are: Dobie Bite Gelato, Dankhound Gas, Lucky Mutt Gumbo, and K9GG. Each one has its own unique dog-themed packaging, making their jars easy to find on the shelf.
It's a fun way to give each strain its own personality while staying true to what the brand is all about.
Grown With Family, Built With Purpose#
But there's a lot more to BO Gardens than just their dog-themed packaging. BO Gardens is a woman-owned, owner-operated farm built from the ground up by Cortney and her family.
After acquiring their property, Cortney and her family spent two years developing the land and building their cannabis operation. From bringing electricity to getting the first plants in their pots, getting BO Gardens up and running was no small project.
And it's truly a family effort. Her parents, in-laws, and other family members all help with the operation.
But what really makes their story special is their commitment to animal rescue. Cortney has a background in fostering and rescuing animals, and supporting local rescues remains a big part of the farm's mission. She hopes to eventually bring animal rescues to BO Gardens vendor events, helping connect people with animals looking for homes.
